AMEGY BANK TAKES A UNIQUE APPROACH TO LOCAL WILDLIFE

CYPRESS, TX – On Friday, August 12, customers from Amegy Bank’s Lakewood Kroger branch supported the Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition by participating in a naming contest for the baby birds who made a home in the letter “e” of Amegy’s outdoor sign.

For every vote received, Amegy Bank donated $1.00 to Texas Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition (TWRC) to support the organization’s mission to promote environmental conservation through public education and rehabilitation of native Texas wildlife. With the help of online voters through Amegy’s Facebook page and Amegy’s Lakewood Kroger customers, Amegy contributed $500 to become an official TWRC “Friend of the Forest.” Customers selected the name “Amegy Aviators,” as the winner, and the winning name will be inscribed on a gold leaf to be displayed on TWRC’s Friends of the Forest tree.
