My Last Baby Girl, and My First
This baby was another Brussels Griffon puppy with a red coat, blonde and sassy personality to match. She came to us a map of California 11 years ago, and as she scooted herself just outside the cage and cargo into the arms of my sister, the four of us collectively agreed to find something that we do not know who we were missing: a baby sister to love it.
She stole my clothes (socks, mostly) and my friends, and his incessant "talking" the stuff no sister would balk at. But she was also affectionate and gentle, a complete show-off, a little snob and a bigger bit of malice.Audrey Hepburn had a beloved dog she called "Mr. Famous," and we considered it appropriate to our own name after him. With its trained and prance funny way to keep his chin, he was a nickname she did not even try to live up to. In addition to being a total character, it could even be the smallest guy friend dog aversion come to love.
A year ago, the famous Miss got a cough that never left. In short, his trachea was collapsing and had difficulty breathing. We knew it would be difficult, but we did not know when it's time to say "when."His time came two Fridays ago, when my mother could not bear her suffering if she was still active and Spry has only relatively more difficult. We asked him just one hour after I left the doctor's office, and was one of the hardest things I've ever had to be part of, and certainly not just because I'm pregnant .
But I must say that watching something die, knowing something inside you starts to turn into a bitter experience bittersweet.I felt hopeful, as I am a creative spirit in what we call the circle of life, or as if my body can do that I can love someone as much or even more than that I ' I had to leave behind. This is something pretty cool.
2011 was a year even tougher than the famous boy came in and we need it then. I think I'm hoping that my baby is going to give my family a little hope both need the same way a four-legged fact, nearly a decade ago.

I love my cat!
I love my cat!
Well, we all do, do not we? The love of our cats, I mean.

"I love my cat!"
As you can see photos and stories below about the things of our cats get up.
We all love our cats, no matter what they do.
As usual, thanks to everyone who sent these in.
Let's start with this gorgeous picture of six-year-old Blue Point Siamese, Roo, sent in by Dee, from Kingston, Ontario. There was no story, just the photo, but what a beautiful Blue Point!

(from Chelsea, in Irving, TX)
My two-year-old Flame Point Siamese Pan loves to be around us ... we've tried to shut him out of the room at night to sleep (or do anything else, if you know what I mean!) but he will not have it!
He slides one foot in the door and shake until someone arrives. Sometimes it makes me crazy but I love it.
It also opens the door to screen by hooking a claw on the side!
It was found in the streets and boy is he smart with the claws ...
I actually saw pick up cat food in his paw and eat if he can get his head in the bowl to the last bite or two.
Open the door!
(De Diana, in Grapevine, TX)
Our cat is an indoor cat, but we take it out once or twice a week.
Well, evidently that's not good enough for him because just recently he's been jumping up and turning the doorknob to the front door!
If it wasn't locked he'd get out, he's really strong!
