Corpus Christi police search for man accused of robbing hotel clerk
— Corpus Christi police are searching for a man accused of robbing a hotel clerk about 5:30 p.m. Monday.According to police, the man approached the clerk in the check-in area of a hotel in the 800 block of Lantana Street and demanded money, saying he was armed with a gun.
The clerk handed him an unspecified amount, and the man fled through the lobby into the west parking lot where he got into an older model car, described as a blue Oldsmobile, police reported.
The suspect is described as a skinny white man, 38 to 43 years old, with salt-and-pepper hair. He is 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and was last seen wearing a sports jacket, black ski mask and bluejeans.
Police urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 888-8477 or the homicide/robbery bureau at 886-2841.
