This past Saturday August 6, NWS presented its biggest show of the summer of 2011 Chris Candido Memorial J-Cup tournament in Keanburg, NJ New Point Comfort Company Fire Hall. And no doubt made the night one of the largest NWS "of the year, as he was a full house is to a full house that fans all around, and loud and energetic crowd certainly got their money. The show opened with young Chris Candido's brother Johnny Candido to come into the ring, made its first appearance in the NWS over three years. Johnny thanked the fans to go out and honor the memory of his brother.NWS also welcomed Johnny and Chris' father, Dr. Don Candito, who flew from Florida to join the tribute to his son. The twelve J-Cup participants were introduced, and the rules of the tournament have been announced: The first round will have four games to eliminate triple-threat every game with ten minutes of time. If there were no winners after ten minutes, a five-minute sudden death overtime can occur, and there was still no winner, the fans vote for the winner. The semifinal round will be two singles matches also with a period of ten minutes, and a period of five minutes sudden death if no winner.The final match will be no time limit, a fall of a finish. Chris and Nick knew that Devon was the favorite, and they first put aside their differences in their tag teams and tried to leave Devon early. But it soon broke down into "every man for himself". After a pitched battle, a bomb hit Chris Senton rope and pinned and eliminated Nick. Devon took the Chris worn, and when Chris went for a flying cross body, held on Devon and rolled on him and Chris down for the 1-2-3. Donovan was content to let Steve Scott initially handle The Jersey Kidd, but when The Kidd was on fire from the start, and Donovan and Steve attempted to band together to take him out.

The ladies insisted that their husbands come back and privately make amends on a quiet afternoon like this when Lady B. was not hosting a crush. Truthfully, some of the wives were worried Her Ladyship might have us all blackballed from Society—you know she never forgets a slight. So here we are. Gracious, they’re laying it on rather thick… Glancing over, we see Lady Beaufetheringstone looking rather nonplused, surrounded by a contrite band of tall handsome men, both Knight brothers and Inferno Club spies, all on their best behavior. Lord Alec Knight presents Lady B. with a lavish bouquet, while Max, the wicked Marquess of Rotherstone, bends to press a gallant kiss to her knuckles.

See what I mean? The poor *deprived * fellows, if you know what I mean. By now, they’re each willing to do whatever it takes to get back into his lady’s, shall we say, good graces.

  Uh-oh…dear friend, you must excuse me! Damien and Lucien are approaching Her Ladyship. I’d better go be ready to soothe any newly ruffled feathers, myself. Hopefully ward off any new disasters… Be right back…Or perhaps you should come with me?
