The bout was called "Queens of the Damned" but it was the Manic Attackers and the Quad Squad that came out on top at the Mad Rollin' Dolls' (MRD) second bout of the season.
The first bout pitted the Quad Squad against the Reservoir Dolls in a battle that would determine which one would be the last undefeated team. These two teams have quite a lot of history, including trading the first four league championships between them. The Reservoir Dolls entered the bout as defending champions and looked in fine form in defeating the Vaudeville Vixens during the first bout. The Quad Squad finished in fourth place last year but got a measure of revenge against the Unholy Rollers in the first bout of this season, holding off a final jam push to win by five points. The Quad Squad's first win last year was a dominating performance against the eventual champions, so each team had something to prove going into this bout.
The Res Dolls opened the bout by dominating the first twelve jams and 20 minutes, in a manner befitting the defending champs. En route to going up 59-18, the Reservoir Dolls were able to celebrate an individual mark by racking up 500 jams at jammer. The bout was on the way to a blowout, but a costly fourth-minor penalty that sent Ladie Who-Ha to the box turned the tide of the bout. Returning Quad Squad skater Aleta the Hon, out of action since the first bout of the previous season, took the power jam opportunity to put up 15 points and bring the score to 55-33. The Quad Squad took lead jam for seven of the eight last jams in the period, whittling away the Res Dolls lead until the end of the half. Going back to the locker room, what had begun as a blowout had become a very competitive game with the Res Dolls holding on to a now-tenuous 59-54 lead.
After half, the Quad Squad tied the game at 59 apiece. The Res Dolls responded by retaking the lead 64-59. Penalties would again cost the Res Dolls as Mouse went to the box on Jam three, letting the Quad Squad take the lead 82-64. The rest of the half saw play get more physical, even messy, in terms of penalties on both sides, but it made no difference on the scoreboard as the Quad Squad cruised through the second half to earn a solid 167-120 victory over the defending champions.
