Priests, notable Spanish wars, rivers named after beautiful Indian women have one thing in common; Alto. Recently Dr. Robert McClure of Arizona (formerly of Alto), has digitized a little red book long out of print in the history of Alto. This book was protected in 1939, but extends 250 years: 1686-1936. Reading a good novel, it casts a spell on the history buffs.

Alto, named the Village Neches originally was described by La Salle in 1686 like this: "It is one of the largest and most populous I saw in America."Reading, where Father Solis in 1767, while visiting the Neches Indians, mentioned in his paper on" Indigenous complectioned being just, and that women were the most beautiful, with long yellow hair tousled. "

This booklet is full of information on the history of Alto. Details towns, including Linwood Douglass and stories tour along the El Camino Real that come to life. For example, the Angelina River is named after an Indian woman who served as interpreter for Captain Ramon. His name was, of course, Angelina.

Landmark descriptions are so detailed that one can quickly see and know where they are today. The book says that Bowles Creek near Redlawn is named after Chief Bowles. Not only did he lead the Cherokee Indians in this area, but he was so respected by Sam Houston that he gave him a military hat, silk waistcoat, scarf and sword he wore at his death near Bowles Village Alto. John Durst Tales of a horse 965 miles in 12 days to warn people of the Alto de Santa Anna's approach surprised me. I recently discovered to understanding strong heritage that flows in the veins of those who live there.

Beginning of the colonization of Alto occurred in 1821, with the first settlers seeking land bordering the old Spanish Trail. The names of the first families are listed in the booklet, many of whom are here today.

As you read this 38-page document - which you can find your family history in its pages. The original book was set up by Ms. Nell M. Cole and the Alto Herald printed in 1936. Can Current's New Boss Make a Silk Purse - Olbermann Watch

That!

But have no fear. In an interview Borhman promises that Current will remain all progressive all the time. The subject of ratings comes up, but DB gives no information whatsoever. In other words, they still suck.

Respected critic David Zurawik ponders if even this wunderkind from CNN can make a silk purse out of the sow's ear that is Keith Olbermann:

Maybe if Borhman digs deep enough, he will find a journalist under all the rhetorical mustard that now constitutes Olbermann's act. The question is whether Olbermann will be wise enough to listen to his new boss and become a responsible member of the press rather than a strange performer in a sideshow tent far off the midway of TV and American political life.

Like when you say you'll have a plan to save the economy by recycling the same old crap that didn't work before, IT'S THE WPITWA!

Bronze: EVERYONE AT OLBYWATCH (except wussy). No not really, Keith limits this to those who made fun of his pirate voice for Rupert Murdoch. And really, I'm stupmed by this. BTB brings up a article by the Wolff-man in Adweek.

"Just after the company acquired Dow Jones, Murdoch was being encouraged to think about a new branding campaign for the company...the notion he fastened on and had to be talked out of involved making the symbol of the company a pirate ship."

Keith then goes back to his Pirate Voice hated by all.

"Why you better be keepin' a civil tongue in your head when you're talkin' to the cap'n of this here tub."

So this was nothing more than to do 3 things. 1. Bash Murdoch 2. Bash those who despise Olby 3. Use his stupid pirate voice.

Silver to Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder of Missouri:

Seems that he's spent a lot of time in Missouri swanky hotels. And at a 'pantless party' bar. Keith also makes a allusion that Kindler is fooling around with a barkeep that used to be a penthouse pet of the month.

This is bad. But if he were a democrat, there would be no story here.
